SEABRAES
A central area of Dundee, Seabraes is a redevelopment of a disused railway sidings earmarked for strategic development as a rare site along the banks of the Tay. The site is long stretching from the city centre to the suburbs.
The proposals comprise an arrangement of low rise office and commercial spaces, flats and family housing. The commercial and office spaces are in the denser areas towards the city centre with connections to the station and other key commercial spaces within the city.
The flats are adjacent to the commercial units, with views across the Tay. The family houses are close to the existing suburbs of Dundee and are the lowest density area of the site, taking advantage of connections to existing green networks and parks.
The development is organised around a network of paths and landscaped spaces that expand and contract to create pocket parks of different scales. Throughout the proposals are unified with the same architectural characteristics and materiality.
