Assembly Street contains one and two bed apartments aimed at first time buyers. An existing former industrial Grade-C Listed bond building is converted into 11 units with a further 18 newbuild flats and ground floor commercial space. The flats are compact and vary in size from 35m2 to 70m2.

On the ground level the old and the new buildings are arranged around an internal courtyard creating a sequence of private outdoor spaces. The new build element clad in red brick is aligned with the gable of the whisky bond in order to create a new street frontage whilst harmonising with the blackened flint used in the bond and emulating the industrial heritage of the area. Warmer brass alloy panels are proposed for the Assembly Street frontage.
