For this invited competition entry we collaborated closely with Oslo's Narud Sokke Wiig. The brief asked for the design of a new civic centre under one roof. This would allow for better social integration during the harsh winter months for meetings, library facilities and education.

The site was located between the edge of the old town centre and public parkland which had a fascinating topography. We proposed most of the social spaces around a rooflit space - the new all-season public square that stepped between the differing external levels, while the education facilities retreated slightly, creating a more peaceful place for learning.
